Ambassadors

Founder Rachel Earing – UK

Imagine being the representative of your country or organization, entrusted with the task of building relationships, negotiating agreements, and promoting mutual interests. It’s both exhilarating and challenging, requiring diplomacy, tact, and cultural sensitivity.

At its core, being an ambassador feels like being a catalyst for change, a facilitator of dialogue, and a champion of collaboration. It involves advocating for shared values, finding common ground amidst differences, and working towards collective goals.

But being an ambassador isn’t just about official duties and formal meetings. It’s also about forging personal connections, building trust, and cultivating friendships across borders. It feels like being part of a global community, where every interaction has the potential to make a difference.

Of course, being an ambassador comes with its share of pressures and expectations. There are times when it feels like walking a tightrope, balancing competing interests and navigating delicate situations. Yet, it’s precisely these challenges that make the role so rewarding, pushing you to grow, learn, and evolve as a diplomat and as a person.

Overall, being an ambassador is a privilege and an honor. It’s about representing something greater than oneself, embracing diversity, and working towards a more connected and harmonious world. And that is a truly fulfilling experience.

The Great Big Yawn is seeking to appoint a team of highly motivated, Yawning Ambassadors who will promote the work of TGBY around the globe to all groups of people.

It is our hope that Ambassadors will enable us to extend our reach to individuals, schools, community groups, universities and businesses throughout the UK and Globally.  By doing so, this will help us to fulfil our goal of changing boredom, apathy, and exhaustion to hope, creativity, possibility and peace through education, encouragement and support for the next generation of leaders.

Role description Ambassadors will proactively seek to identify and engage with young leaders in existing schools, charities, community groups and businesses, promoting our services and recruiting new members.

This will involve representing and raising awareness about TGBY’s membership option for leaders at local events, online and by participating in leaders’ events hosted by TGBY. As such, we would expect Ambassadors to be highly motivated to secure new opportunities to engage with the independent sector and charitiable sector & report progress to TGBY office regularly.
