CREATIVE PROJECTS

Welcome to our creative side!

This is where we expand ourselves through our own personal experience with the YAWN and what it means to us.

It’s that place of shelter we can go to where we feel completely at ease in knowing that everyone else there has started their journey connecting to their Great Big Yawns, and are curious to find out more about that that means for them.

This place of shelter is yours to decorate, and make as homely as you wish it to be, for you.

We are here to hold that space for you and warmly embrace you designs of artwork, poetry, visions, musical, photographic, cinematic expressions of how the yawn makes you feel, see, hear, smell, touch and connect to yourself; the animal kingdown and our environment, our planet in your unique ways.

The Yawn is one of the least understood, discussed and least acknowledged movements our body makes. Yet, it connects every single human being (all vertebrates) through it’s action.

There is so much more to the humble YAWN than we realise and it is our intention to bring this awareness to the whole of humanity and change the paradigm from stifling our yawns of boredom, to owning each and every yawn as a sign of openness and creativity.

Will you join us?

Meet Jonathan Opul from Uganda, who was our Global Poetry winner and Digital Artwork winner.

Meet Aiste Chapman’s work our UK Art winner from the launch of The Great Big Yawn in March 2024! She created these fabulous cat drawings in pencil which helped stimulate so many yawns at the It’s Mental Live event we launched at on 1st March 2024, at Bolton Wanderers Stadium.

No need for boredom to kick in anymore! We’re here to alleviate all of that for you!

We’re just getting going and we’re already making a difference just through the conversation of the yawn.

If you’d like to join our free Wednesday night Zoom calls then drop us a message in our WhatsApp or Telegram group and we’ll send you the link.

We have received jingles and yawning songs from around the globe and we are currently putting together a Funding Bid for the expansion of a project to cover more of this type of work for you get involved.

Do you think you could write us a yawning song to represent how it effects you or tell us a story about the impact on your community, animals or environment?

If so then get in touch today and let’s have some fun together!

In the meantime enjoy P.M Adamsons interpretation of what the yawn means to him. Sing-along and have some yawning fun!

P J Adamson wrote us a Yawning Song. Thank you PJ!
