Team TGBY are helping advise, clear the land and re-purpose an allotment not used since before covid 2020). It was overgrown to such an extent we couldn’t see a shed and its door as there was so much ivy and growth inside it as well as out.
This is an ongoing project and one you can still get involved with. Venue details will not be shared on this site. Please enquire directly for more information to get involved.
We meet every Monday and Thursday morning 1030-1230 to garden and plan together the best way forward for this group of SGO’s and Foster parents and children to prepare a space for growing vegetables, fruit, and gathering for community well being events.
As you can see it’s going really well. The support we are giving is to enable their group to get started. Most SGO’s and Foster parents are busy during the day with appointments or working themselves. Getting the land ready for them to use and then maintain themselves is our main purpose here.
To literally yawn in and yawn out again and if any of our volunteers wish to stay on to help maintain the garden then that’s fabulous too.

We are applying for funding together until they have their consitution and bank account established where they will then be able to continue as their own group. We’re sure we’ll be working alongside them in many different ways in the future to run workshops and well being sessions.
