Welcome to my favourite childhood TV Series. I was reminded of it this week when we were visiting Skipton and stopped for a bite to eat. I caught Bagpuss on my phone and began to talk to my long suffering partner in a very excited voice on how I’d forgotten how much I’d absolutely LOVED Bagpuss as a child. We laughed and I said if there was a ever a cuddly toy I would have ever wanted it would’ve been Bagpuss. I didn’t even think to ask in the 1970’s for one.

We carried on chatting and I said what did he remember as his favourite show and we both laughed and agreed it would probably has something to do with trains. It was and we delved briefly into Camblewick Green before coming back to Bagpuss as I looked through the internet for the cuddly toy version. (wasn’t successful unfortunately).

Imagine my delight when I was reminded exactly why I’d loved Bagpuss so much when I saw the Youtube videos. He loved to YAWN!

Yes, the introduction to each show begins with him yawning to wake up the shop characters and then yawning to go back to sleep again. The magic however, was also in the stories which I had forgotten until we watched again on our return home and it was with pure delight I realised how totally magical the message is for each episode.

Please give yourself the delight of watching a few episodes of Bagpuss which I’ve included below and indulge in 1970’s simple delights of stories, music, friendship and the beautiful spiritual message that comes through each episode linking the yawn together either side of the transition.

Let me know if you understand the message of the yawn through the Bagpuss stories. If so you may be ready for our grown up adventures with Live4Energy Training College.

Enjoy …..
